To be able to write simple programs in Windows that respond to events, write to the screen, have controls, menus, dialog boxes and bitmaps.
To understand how Windows works with events, messages and resources.
This course is aimed at programmers familiar with programming in C++, who want to learn how to program Microsoft Windows with Borland C++ and with the Object Windows Library (OWL). Also suitable for those familiar with programming Windows with straight C, who want to learn how to do it with the OWL class library.
Ability to write programs for Microsoft Windows that use the elements of:
Good working knowledge of any C++, including classes, members, methods and inheritance.
